Alysen Montague was born in Alaska and raised on the Kenai Peninsula. She met and married her Army husband in 1999 and after living in Washington State, Germany, Hawaii and North Carolina, the longing to return to Alaska brought them to Fort Wainwright in 2014 for their final assignment. Alysen always thought she would return to the Kenai Peninsula but fell in love with the great community of Fairbanks and North Pole and decided to make Interior Alaska her forever home.

Alysen’s interest in health and medical care began with her experiences as a mother and witnessing the health crisis of family members over the years. She became a Registered Nurse in 2013 and has worked in medical, surgical, and obstetric inpatient units. During her time serving the people of Interior Alaska as a nurse, she recognized the need for primary care providers that were invested in the local community and understood the unique challenges that come with living in Alaska. Alysen is excited to now be able to provide primary holistic care as a Family Nurse Practitioner and desires to collaborate with her patients to meet their unique needs and health goals.
