Monica served 21 years in Army as first a labor and delivery nurse and then as a nurse practitioner. She is dual certified in both family practice and women’s health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

The military brought her family to Alaska, where they fell in love with the beauty and vastness of the state, and now plan to live forever. She enjoys traveling and exploring Alaska with her husband, three children, and three dogs: Moose, Sparky, and Fluffy.
