About Dr. Sean Richardson, DO of Alpine Medical Group
I was raised in Eastern Washington in the Tri-Cities, attended Washington State University for undergrad and Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima for medical school. I then joined the U.S. Army and moved to Fort Benning, Georgia for my family medicine residency. I was stationed at Fort Greely and did monthly hospital call at Bassett Army Community Hospital until I separated in 2020 to stay in Alaska.
I enjoy doing comprehensive primary care including preventive medicine, all chronic conditions, newborn care/pediatrics, skin procedures, joint injections, Osteopathic manipulations and have a growing interest in longevity medicine. I believe in the golden rule and make a great effort to provide the care that I would want to receive. Every person is unique, so I try to individualize medical management while following current evidence-based standards of care.
I first came to Alaska in 2010 on a solo motorcycle trip and fell in love with the state. I did medical school rotations in Anchorage in 2011-2012 where I met my wife. Since 2016, we have been in Delta Junction where we have three kids in elementary school. When I am not at work, I enjoy sheep and moose hunting, trapping, fishing, yard projects, working on flight time since becoming a pilot in 2022, and getting out into the interior in as many ways as I can.
